Beaujolais Nouveau - is a red wine made from Gamay grapes produced in the Beaujolais region of France. It is the most popular vin de primeur, fermented for just a few weeks then officially released for sale on the third Thursday of November. Nowadays not only France but also the whole world celebrates this "Beaujolais Day", or "Beaujolais Nouveau Day".
Beaujolais Nouveau is intended for immediate drinking, and in general should not be kept for more than a year. Beaujolais Nouveau has immature but a pleasant smell which is not very different from unfermented grape juice.
Unlike other red wines, "Beaujolais Nouveau" is recommended to serve lightly chilled, at approximately 13°C (55°F).
Joseph Drouhin Beaujolais Nouveau is a dark purple wine dominated by fruity flavors of cherry and blackberry. This wine has a perfectly balanced silken taste.
